Event Design

At Kiss the Cook Catering, we never forget about the WOW factor. That’s the challenge of designing and delivering customized, unforgettable experiences that cater to a range of budgets.

Outsourcing such an important consideration wasn’t the right move, so we built an in-house event design team to get the job done right.

We’ll work with you to set objectives, budgets, and timelines, then develop a branded event plan complete with mood boards and a creative theme to guide our approach to everything from floral arrangements to menu design.

How it works

Through our event design service you can expect to receive the following as part of the experience.

A blank spiral notebook sits on a white desk with a pencil, eraser, computer mouse, keyboard, coffee cup, and a small potted plant nearby.

Primary Consultation

You’ll have the opportunity to consult with our professional Event Designer to discuss your vision and event requirements. This meeting will allow you to ask any questions about the planning process and design services. We’ll discuss options available to enhance your event design, branding and décor, while also reviewing your overall budget and the scope of work to provide an accurate event design quote.

A 50% deposit is required to proceed with your event design package.

A collage with pastel color swatches, a person in white shoes on patterned tiles, flowers, envelope stationery, a decorative chair, a woven basket, a cane placemat, a gray plate, and black-and-gold cutlery.

Story Board

This is where the fun begins! We’ll present you with two incredible, detailed event design story board options, both of which will reflect your vision and target budget. Themes, colours, florals, rentals, table settings, branding, menu samples are just a few areas that your story board may cover.

Next, the story board you select will be used to develop your customized Event Design Blueprint.

Site Visit

Now it’s time to check out the blank canvas where we’ll paint your event masterpiece! Your designer will meet with you at the event site and may bring along additional Kiss the Cook team members as necessary, depending on the various details and scope of work.

We’ll discuss set-up recommendations, draw up site plans and take pictures. In most cases, only one site visit is required. Some events may constitute additional visits, so we include up to two visits as part of your package.

Final Quote & Blueprint

Now that we’ve determined your ideal design and mapped the site, we can source out everything required to execute your event and provide an exact quote. Doing so means working with our industry partners and suppliers, all of whom are respected, reliable professionals with proven records of accomplishment. We handle all co-ordination for your event from start to finish, ensuring that you have a single point of contact and only one responsibility—living and loving the moment during your event!

After you give the thumbs up on the final quote, we’ll provide you with our unique Event Design Blueprint. It allows you to see exactly how your event design will be implemented on the day. This is an invaluable tool, because it advances the planning process and sheds light on logistics, set-up, and final execution. This step is customized to suit your specific needs, which explains why it takes many hours to prepare. We think it also demonstrates our dedication to perfection in every detail.

Your professional Event Designer will be onsite throughout the set-up and the entire duration of the event making sure that your function stays on schedule, providing onsite co-ordination, and helping with all necessary details to guarantee you and your guests have an unforgettable experience.
