Scarborough Bluffs Backyard Wedding
A whimsical summer garden, alive with vibrant blooms, set the stage for an unforgettable wedding atop the bluffs.
Guests were delighted by the couple’s non-traditional menu, brimming with their favourite comfort foods—think crispy chicken wings, flavorful tacos, fresh sushi, and more…
The bride’s parents’ backyard provided a setting that made this wedding uniquely personal. Surrounded by familiar landscape, cherished memories, and the comfort of home, we helped create an atmosphere and menu to reflect the couple’s story—whether it was the string lights draped across trees, favorite garden flowers in bloom, or the laughter of loved ones gathered in a place that already holds meaning – this wedding was dreamy and unforgettable.
The Menu
We loved the fact that Jessica and Mike wanted to celebrate their favourite comfort foods on the big day. Why not? Food is one of the most powerful ways to express personality, culture, and shared experiences. Just as the décor, music, and vows tell the couple’s story, the menu can showcase unique tastes, cultures, or even quirky traditions that make the experience unique. Serving unexpected items, like chicken wings, tacos, sushi, or childhood dessert favorites, created a sense of authenticity and joy that these 100 guests will remember long after the last bite.
Passed Hors D’Oeuvres
Cocktail Reception
As guests arrived, they were greeted with passed hors d’oeuvres including; Fresh Gazpacho Shooters, Truffle Mac N’ Cheese Bombs, Banquet Burger Siders, and Heart-Shaped Fried Ravioli Bites. Wooden live-edge boards adorned with a wide variety of premium sushi were a guest favorite bite. We also set up a charcoal grill at the edge of the bluffs, where a chef was stationed to pass out fresh grilled lamb spiedini for guests to enjoy while taking in the stunning scenery.
Feature Food Stations
Chicken wings and fries were high up on the groom’s list of favorite foods, so it was our priority to serve the best of the best! We set up industrial deep fryers to ensure that everything was prepared fresh, crispy, and hot to order.
Speaking of crispy and delicious, our beer-battered cod tacos were also in high demand. Guests could customize to their preferences by adding toppings such as creamy coleslaw, cilantro, a variety of hot sauces, lime crema, and more. Tucked under the weeping willow tree we arranged a gorgeous grab-and-go presentation of mason jar salads. There was no formal seating plan, and guests could take their time and enjoy the stations at their leisure while wondering the property and spending time with the happy newlyweds.

There was no doubt that this backyard wedding delivered on all the magical notes that the couple dreamed of. Our experience in planning, logistics, and event management made us the perfect partner in working with their vision and transforming the blank slate of a backyard into a full-service kitchen and venue.
