Melissa and William @ THe Henley Room

Toronto Wedding Case Study

At the heart of this unforgettable wedding was a truly iconic setting — the Henley Room at the Argonaut Rowing Club on Toronto’s western lakeshore. Against the backdrop of Lake Ontario’s golden‑hour glow, the couple chose a venue that is equally breathtaking and deeply personal. Partnering with Kiss the Cook Catering, the couple embraced a beautifully tailored culinary experience that honoured their Italian heritage and the groom’s family connection to award‑winning cheese makers.

From a gourmet cheese station featuring hand‑pulled mozzarella to a main course of chicken supreme and beef tenderloin with red‑wine demi‑glace, every detail was carefully designed to delight. With 220 guests enjoying a spacious dance floor, lakeside terrace and a bar boasting local craft beers, scotches and premium spirits, the event blended elegance, warmth and joy — reminding everyone why catering isn’t just about food, but creating memories that last a lifetime.

Feature Food Stations

Guests were treated to a show-stopping culinary experience with two signature stations. The first — a Hand-Pulled Mozzarella Bar — paid homage to the groom’s family cheese business, offering fresh, artisan-quality cheese made right on site. Nearby, the Terrace Grill featured a chef-attended station serving sizzling Lamb Speducci, grilled to perfection and bursting with flavour. Together, these stations brought theatre, aroma, and authenticity to the celebration — transforming dinner into an unforgettable sensory experience.

Dinner Reception

Guests enjoyed a beautifully curated seated dinner, beginning with artisanal bread baskets and butter at each table. The first course featured a classic Caprese Salad with heirloom tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, arugula, and balsamic reduction. Next, a comforting butternut squash ravioli was served in a sage cream sauce, topped with parmesan and crispy fried sage. The main course offered a duo of grilled petit filet and herb-roasted chicken, paired with rosemary potatoes and grilled seasonal vegetables (with extra veggies for the bride!).
